Life in KY...
Is interesting!! Oh boy where to start.....I am still trying to get used to the hour difference....the time change is throwing me off even more....I greatly enjoy my job of wakin' everyone up in the morning!!We spent all last week cleanin out the house in Burkesville...Boy was that a job...we not only hauled LOTS of stuff out we cleaned and repainted the WHOLE house! Wow will I be happy to stay here and get all the stuff put away and clean so it won't look like we moved another house to the school!
I had a nice quite birthday....Went out to lunch/dinner with Mr and Mrs Lindsey!
Grandpa Lindsey is down here now and it is so much fun to have him around!
The other day I was standing in the kitchen and I said"tomorrow starts my 24th year"Mrs Lindsey got this funny look on her face and said " that will make you how old?"...=) Gotta love how we can laugh at each other when one doesn't get something!!
The children love to come in and ask me what I am cooking and when I say food they go" we know its food WHAT kind of food is it"...I always say the kind you eat...=) They are learning to wait and try it...thouhg sometime they ask what I put in it first as if I am gonna trick them into eating some thing bad =)
WELL thats all I can think of right now =)
hope you all are doing wonderfully!!

While on the bus.....
Here I sit in the bus traveling down the road......
So I thought to myself I should update my blog and let you all know what I am up to!
I have officially moved in with the Lindseys! We are traveling in North Carolina right now ...They had a wedding and a couple of concerts.....
Before I left home I was awoken at 230 am to the police....They informed me that I had a dead cow in the road an d they needed me to come clean it up...Also the fence was down and they rest of the cows were around somewhere.....So out I went..got on the tractor scraped up the cow...tried to be civil to the officer and then went to find the rest of the cows...Did I mention that it was very foggy and I had no clue where the rest of the cows were....So off I went with the dead calf in the bucket and calling to the cows...I found em chased them back to our field and then I had to fix the fence we talked of fixing for a while...All at 230 in the morning!!! Well that was a interesting send off!
We left on Friday the 25th...we decided to stop at Grandma Judies for a few days before heading to Ky...Well the weather decided to get warm that day an d my car does not like to run in the heat...We made it to Buffalo and it stopped working...We had to rent a car dolly to make it the rest of the way to Grandmas.....So our 5 and a half hour trip ended up being 8 and a half hours!
Oh well....I had a wonderful time visiting and relaxing with grandma!
We took off for the Creation Museum at 5 am on Monday morning! It was a neat place to go see!! There we met up with the Lindseys....It was cool to see life size scenes of the stories we read in the bible! The Planetarium was a amazing experience!!! I would tell anyone to go there just to see that!!
From there we went to dinner a Golden Corral...Boy one should not go eat lots of food after a day of eating nothing....We all left full and ready for bed...Unfortunately we had a 2 and a half hour drive back to their home.... But we made it safe an d sound and after having been up for 22 hours I went right to sleep!
Mom and Dad spent a few days just hanging out and helping get my room finished....They headed out on Thursday morning..we left Thursday night!
And I think that brings us up to the present day! I am getting used to traveling on the bus...Important things to know....Yell loud when you see brakes......Have bathroom guards.... and be ready to hit the person that snores above my head!
I hope to talk to you all again soon....

Well.....It is fall here on the farm..that means we are canning and processing the garden! It is always a mixed blessing to have the tomatoes do so well =) We have lots of them but Denver greatly enjoys running the squeezO...He would rather stand there for hours running tomatoes through than do one math problem! I say I will do the school work let him do the tomatoes!!
It would seem I have a lot of catching up to do on here so I will start.... I had SO much fun doing Farm Camp...I made many great friends! I think that everyone should take a turn at being a counselor at a camp for kids with disabilities!!
While I did that I also kept up with my one on ones and this is my last day with that job...=(
In there somewhere I found time to go to the NYS Fair!!! Oh boy did we have fun there..I would put up picture but it is giving me a hard time...=( so Next time I will give you a picture glimpse into my summer...
I will be moving to KY in 14 days..I am making a pit stop to visit my Grandma in PA first! As for packing well I figure that can be done the day before I leave ;-)
Well I guess that all for now ...
I do hope you all are having a wonderful year so far...

Fun is....
Wow time flys when you are SO busy!
I am on my third week of farm camp! It is so much fun to be here enjoying the kids no matter what their age or disability.......As for Hay season it came to a sudden stop all the hay we mowed down got rained on and so since we don't need it we shall just chop it up! This is not a sad thing for me =)
It is so nice to know we are done and once farm camp is over I can focus on packing to move to KY!! But before I switch to moving mode I have a week and a half of farm camp and one more week after that of work!

Time alone.....
This is something I have come to dread.....I have had a lot of time to myself lately and have found I much prefer to have my family here at home with me!
My parents have been enjoying their new camper...they were gone for two week at the end of July! They also plan on taking off again this weekend...
It won't be as bad as I have plans all weekend but I am hoping one of these times I will get to go with them! Till then I stay home and take care of the animals and hold the house down!
i was blessed to go to another wedding of a friend this past weekend...Jami Winters married a wonderful young lady and they are a sweet couple!

They are enjoying their new camper! They got to their campground and decided to stay a while longer!
So me and the dogs are trying to enjoy our time alone..I am filling my time working and bothering anyone who will take me in =)
I am enjoying a new bible study i am doing with some friends...It is on taking God into your twenty's......It is always good to realize how we can grow and have God strengthen us!

Wow time really does fly by in the summer!! We have not done any more hay yet.....we really are hoping to get it done this week so that we can just relax and not think about it any more! We had our last calf born this week!! That makes 12.......Their names are.......Ming...Mazy...Brat...Lil Guy...Tuesday...Mutt....Candy...Bozo...Saturday...Happy...Sam...and Bell.....Boy is it hard to name that many calves and keep them straight! Most of them are all black so it is hard to know what one is what till they go to their mothers!
We have added a nice new truck and camper to our collection of vehicles on the farm!! The truck is a Dodge cummings...diesel Tan 3/4 cab....SWEET "04" truck!! Our camper is a 2010...sleeps 8-10...it is very nice and looks like mom and dad are gonna use it lots! They will be heading out on Monday for the week to just chill!
Other than that ;-) Not much happening around here!

Well it has been a scorcher this week! The animals are all hot and cant seem to find that perfect cool spot!
Thankfully we got all our hay done on Monday and can wait a bit before mowing the rest down!
Our barn is filled and that means we have enough to get through the winter!! God is so good! We have had to turn people away this year...everyone wants to give us fields of hay!!! Thanks but NO thanks!!
We have spent a lot of time in the pool or where there is A/C!
This past week Dad went out and bought a nice new truck and camper...so who knows if you ask we may come camping with ya!
Well I am off to work enjoy your day and God Bless!!!

Farm Camp week!!!
Thats right all its farm camp week!!
I have been really looking forward to this for a while.....It is so much fun to watch the kids and work with them with whatever project we are doing! You can learn so much from them that I learn something new every day!! I am sure the smile and frown...the laughter and tears will be remembered for a LONG time by all of us sharing in this time!
Did I mention we have had another calf born!! This one was unexpected! I walked out to see what was going on and there was a beautiful red bull calf!! That is my ALL time favorite thing on the farm!! Finding a new born calf!
As for hay we have not had a chance since May to get on the fields! We are hoping the rain will clear soon but at this point we need at least four good days just so that the fields can soak in some of the rain!

It is a strange time for me....I am no longer babysitting everyday...Today was my first day off from "I have to get up and leave the house" ....I was telling a friend that my life is run by my watch. Wow I am not sure how to tell you how I am enjoying being home and knowing I can get things done around the house! I still have to go to work everyday but I am only gone for a few hours instead of all day! I am going to just put down some of my random thoughts from this week and if ya would like to tell me what you think email me or comment.......
First off I have been apart of a Home coming of sorts this past week and I must say it is amazing to see God's people come together to pray and comfort those that are now going through the emotions of loosing a loved one...David Camp touched so many lives in the days he was on the hospital and the days after he went to be with God....over 7000 people on one website! There are people being saved...brought back into a deeper relationship with God ...it is so neat to see how God is using this young mans death to bring his people to their knees!
So how are we going to be remembered? How are you touching those around you?
What am I doing to bring people to God? Am I going to be remember as a young woman striving to follow Gods will!?
On another note....My grandmother is still not well...her children are having to do most everything for her ....
How am I gonna be when I get to be that age? I am praying that I have such a will to live that those that are around me don't even know that I am getting old! I have a 92 year old aunt who may as well be in her 60's! She has friend come over and they workout together still!!
So please keep praying for Grandma Colleen....and her kids...she need a will to live and they need patience to put up with her and stick it out till she is better or whatever comes next!
Yup if you didn't make it this far that's OK I understand ;-)
The last thing I have to say is tell everyone you know and love that you do in fact love them..say those three words out loud! You never know what may happen or if you will ever get the chance to say them again!
My dear friends I LOVE YOU!!!
Don't think for a second that when I do tell you out loud that I don't mean it or I am just saying it to make you feel better....I really do and it means alot to hear people tell you cause you never know what kind of week one may be having and what they may be thinking!!
Over and out <3

It is a new week......My last week as a nanny.......
We have not had good weather for hay... we are starting to wonder when it will clear so we can get the hay in!
Grandma is doing well...She is home and growing stronger!
Please keep the Camp family in your prayers...they lost their son last night ...He has gone to be with the Lord and touched many people on his way.....
I had a wonderful weekend visiting with Lindseys and Roberts!! It is so nice to keep in touch with everyone!

Wow...I can't believe how this week has flown by!!
Grandma went into the hospital Tuesday and the Doctor's didn't think she would make it through the night...She did and is going home tomorrow! She was dehydrated and it made her blood pressure drop....Thank God her cleaning lady was their or we would not have her here with us any more...I am grateful she is still with us and hopeful she will listen and start eating right!
The day after Grandma went into the hospital a young man was brought in the has severe head trauma after getting into a car crash.....He need lots of prayer as the Doctors are saying they have 24 hours before they will turn off life support! We serve a amazing God that can do what ever he wants...We would hope that he will bring him back to life but know that if he chooses to take him home what a day of rejoicing he will have!! Please keep the Camp family in your prayers!!
As for life on the farm.....We had some calves running around the yard this morning...they were cute till they went into the garden then back to the field for them!! I will be working my last week with the boys I babysit this coming week..it will be a bittersweet thing for me! I love them but feel that I am being called in a different direction....
God bless each and every one of you who read my blog!!

Its the end of the week and I must say it has been a long one!
We got all the cows treated for pink eye so now we should not have any problem with them loosing their eyes.....
We are starting to think we will be swimming in a cloudy pool all summer as we have pour over 20 gallons of shock in and its just not clearing up!
It will be a busy weekend for us...we have a family party with family in from out of state....I have CPR/first Aid training all day Saturday...then on to an engagement party..... Sure makes one pray the weather stays nice for all the traveling I will be doing!
School will be ending in another week and a half ...this means I will not be babysitting any more ....I will miss the boys but I think it is time for this change!
Well the sun is shining and I must go try to have a productive day;-)

So we have made it through another day of hay...We only put in half a wagon but seeing as it was 90 out it was a good thing!! After that we decided to go out for dinner and on our way home it started raining!! We are soooo happy to get some rain!!! While driving through Rome we noticed people are not very careful with their water as sprinklers were going and it was raining =/ So we were heading down this road and dad noticed a guy out watering his lawn and he yelled out to him "Its raining" thinking he must not have felt it if he was out watering his lawn! Gotta love our family=)
The pool still has not cleared up and we have a leak that I cant seem to fix...grrrrr.....O the joys of owning a pool!
Now I sit hear listening to the thunder praying for lots and lots of rain!!It seems hay will be on hold for the rest of the week as the weather man says it will rain every other day!
Its back to work for me tomorrow....

Today we had Denver's baseball game...It was okay they need to learn how to play the game =) I got fried while sitting out there...Ouch it really hurts ;-)
This evening we went to the Barn dance at ARISE....It is so neat to watch these kids just enjoy themselves dancing!!
There is some more hay on the ground so that means Monday we will be putting more in! Looking for help so if ya want to come sweat with us we would love to see ya!!

Our week has come to an end and all the Elliotts are going through people withdrawl..... We LOVED having the Lindsey family here with us and shall miss them greatly!!
Hanging out around the farm!!

Before we could allow the Lindseys to pull out we had our annual picture taken in front of the bus!!

All the children
Looks like dad will be heading back out to the fields tomorrow to mow trhe rest of our first cutting down!! It will be good to have it done this early in the year...We usually don't start till the 2nd week of June! Pray the weather holds out so that we can get it all up and not have any of it rained on!! Although we do really need rain!

It has been a fun week....
The Lindseys have been here all week...I took most of the week off......Hay got done.....Memories made......ahh the joys of having friends around!!
As I sit here Rebeka is playing the keyboard and most have gone to bed ...
I shall miss all the children running around and all the noise of laughter after they leave =(
We have not been getting to bed before well past midnight most of the night they have been here..not that I am complaining I have enjoyed our late night conversations!!
Looks like I shall be moving out with them in September! Unless the Lord has something else planned...I am so excited to be able to have this opportunity to go and be one of them..not that I am not already but it will be a good experience for all of us!

Well it was a HOT day on the farm today!!
Dad got the hay all raked and so tomorrow we will be putting it in the barn =(
The Lindsey kids all got fried from being in the pool all day...Poor kids! We are having a wonderful time enjoying each other company! It was eventful last night as we had a bunch of people over and one person got shot in the hand with a be-be gun and one kid almost drowned...but God had mercy and all is well!

On a happier note the Lindsey family will be pulling in for a few days today!! We are so happy to have them come and stay with us.
Dad is heading back out to mow some more hay down..Looks like we will be VERY busy the end of this week!!

Hi all
I thought this would be a good way to keep in touch and let everyone know whats happening on the farm!
Today we mowed down some of our first hay cutting....I have mixed feelings on this =) We don't usually start this early but it will be nice to be done sooner this year!
So far we have had nine calves born! Wow it is such a blessing to look out and see the little ones running through the field! As for names...well I am not doing do good remembering them this year =/
We also have a new watch dog! Rio entered our family about 11 weeks ago! He is a beautiful German shepherd!! Max is getting old and not moving so well so we got this pup with the hope that he will be as nice as Max!
